Job summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Services Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, service and maintain high-value capital equipment at customer sites across the UK.

The role involves visiting sites and providing mechanical support, troubleshooting and repairs. Ideal candidates will have a strong mechanical engineering background, CAD knowledge and a willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Experience installing/commissioning capital equipment or complex machinery.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and stay away from home occasionally.
• Ideally educated to BEng/HND/HNC or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and maintain high-value capital equipment at customer sites across the UK.
• Visit sites across the UK to support our machinery.
• Provide mechanical support at client sites, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Install new equipment, move machines, service equipment and decommission machinery.

Job description

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Installation Engineer or Commissioning Engineer
• Strong mechanical engineering background with experience fault finding, servicing and repairing industrial machinery
• Experience installing and commissioning capital equipment or complex machinery, or transferable machinery experience
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasionally stay away from home
• Ideally educated to BEng, HND or HNC level, or relevant industry experience
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience in large mechanical or digital machinery
• Analytical and organised approach
• Computer literate
• CAD or graphics software knowledge is advantageous
• Clean driving licence
• Proven experience in a similar field service role
• Background in engineering, particularly equipment installation and maintenance
• Formal engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng is preferred but not essential if supported by strong experience
