Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover customer sites across the South of England, installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment. Based near Wanborough, Swindon, the role offers a £51,000 base salary, door-to-door overtime with earnings over £55,000, a company van and ongoing training with clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience working in automated environment (Manufacturing or Industrial).
• Engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Must live within a 40-mile radius of Reading.
• Willingness to travel across the South of England.

Job Role - Field Service Engineer

Essential Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Flexible approach to travel and occasional overtime

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics or automated machinery
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Previous experience working within manufacturing, industrial, packaging or material handling environments
