Job summary

Pioneer-Selection-Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, maintain and repair industrial equipment at customer sites across the South of England. You will cover a wide range of automation environments and travel within the region, ensuring first-class service and swift fault resolution.

The role offers a Monday–Friday days schedule with door-to-door overtime and ongoing training, career progression, and a company van for personal use, subject to policy.

Qualifications

• Previous Field Service Engineer experience.
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience working in automated environments (Manufacturing/Industrial).
• Engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent).
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair industrial equipment at customer sites across the South of England.
• Travel within the South of England to sites and respond to service calls.
• Provide high standards of customer service and fault diagnosis.
• Manage workload and work independently with safety compliance.

Job Role – Field Service Engineer

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Field Service Engineer (Must Have)

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical engineering background
• Experience working in automated environment (Manufacturing or Industrial)
• Engineering qualification (minimum Level 3 or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must live within a 40-mile radius of Reading
• Willingness to travel across the South of England

Essential Requirements of the Field Service Engineer

• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills on electrical and mechanical systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good understanding of health and safety proceduresFlexible approach to travel and occasional overtime

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics or automated machinery
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Installation and commissioning experience
• Previous experience working within manufacturing, industrial, packaging or material handling environments
