Job summary

ANCA CNC Machines based in Coventry seeks a full-time Service Engineer to install, commission and maintain CNC machines at customer sites. You will diagnose technical issues, perform mechanical and electrical repairs, and provide hands-on support to customers on site.

Qualifications

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer role based in Coventry. The Service Engineer will install, commission, and maintain ANCA CNC machines at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and providing hands‑on technical support to customers. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance, updating software and hardware as needed, and documenting service activities in line with company standards. The Service Engineer will also collaborate with internal teams, communicate clearly with customers, and support continuous improvement of service processes.

Qualifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues.
  • Field service experience, including on-site customer support and travel to customer locations as required.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and global support teams.
  • Technical support capabilities, including diagnosing faults, guiding users, and resolving complex service cases.
  • Maintenance & repair experience with CNC machinery or similar industrial equipment.
  • Relevant technical qualification in engineering, mechatronics, electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and documentation, and use diagnostic tools and measuring equipment.
  • Comfort working in industrial environments, with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn new technologies, and capability to work independently and in teams.
