Job summary

Workshop Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established engineering business, is seeking an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery at customer sites across the UK.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, read schematics, and deliver outstanding service while traveling nationwide and staying away on larger projects; two weeks of training on joining, followed by ongoing technical development and support from a Service Helpdesk team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a CNC Field Service Engineer or in a similar field service role.
• Background within the machinery or CNC industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service and repair CNC machinery at customer sites.

• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.

• Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays on larger projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to join a successful team supporting customers nationwide.You'll receive two weeks of intensive training on joining, giving you a solid understanding of the company's CNC machinery and service standards, followed by ongoing technical development and support from an experienced Service Helpdesk team.
