Job summary

NetZero, a private mechanical and HVAC contractor, is seeking a senior leader to own and grow its Service & Maintenance division. You will oversee operations, lead a team of service engineers, and drive profitable growth through new and existing contracts.

You will combine deep HVAC technical credibility with strong commercial acumen to shape service delivery, pricing, and customer retention. This is a unique opportunity to build a substantial business division within a profitable contractor.

Qualifications

• Strong HVAC knowledge across air conditioning, chillers, AHUs and mechanical services.
• Proven experience leading service engineers, maintenance contracts or service operations.

The Opportunity

We are representing an ambitious, privately owned mechanical and HVAC contractor with annual turnover of approximately £4–5 million and exciting plans for continued growth.

Your Responsibilities

• Full divisional ownership: Take responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the Service & Maintenance division.
• Business growth: Win new maintenance contracts, develop existing customer relationships and build recurring revenue.
• People leadership: Manage, mentor and expand a team of HVAC service engineers.
• Operational delivery: Oversee planned maintenance, reactive repairs, servicing and breakdown support across commercial and domestic clients.
• Commercial management: Own quotations, pricing, budgets, profitability, resource planning and customer retention.
• Technical leadership: Provide expertise across air conditioning, chillers, AHUs, ventilation, heating and wider mechanical building services.
• Strategic direction: Work directly with the company directors to shape the division's growth strategy, processes and long-term direction.
