Bennett And Game Recruitment is partnering with a leading HVAC contractor to appoint an HVAC Operations Manager in Kent. The role focuses on overseeing service and maintenance contracts, driving service quality, and leading a team of mobile engineers to meet client expectations.

The successful candidate will manage P&L, develop strong client relationships, and pursue continuous improvement while aligning with the employee-owned culture and growth of the business.

Qualifications

• Proven service management or operations management experience leading and planning a team of engineers.
• HVAC technical background with knowledge of heating, cooling, wet systems and plant rooms.
• Confident leading technical conversations with clients about systems, service and maintenance works.
• Experience with service and maintenance contract frameworks and negotiations.
• Drive for continuous professional development and increasing responsibilities.
• Experience with P&L, budgeting and cost control.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage service and maintenance contracts across the patch.
• Lead a mobile engineer team to deliver quality, productivity and SLAs.
• Maintain client relationships to secure contract extensions and remedial works.
• Monitor top and bottom-line figures and cost control.

HVAC Operations Manager - Job Overview

Client Service Manager required, our client is a well-known and respected HVAC contractor with the majority of their accounts operating within the commercial sector including restaurants, hotels and leisure centres, but also clients operating sites within healthcare, industrial or education settings. They have a nationwide presence, with regional offices throughout the UK supporting over 130 employees, generating a turnover in excess of £20M. They offer installation, service, maintenance, fault finding and repair on a range of HVAC equipment, predominately air conditioning, chillers, AHU's, ventilation and commercial heating. Our client's business is setup as an Employee-Owned Trust, effectively making all employees collective owners of the business. Its aim is to provide a long‑term view of business success where employees have a vested interest in the company's performance and longevity. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for P&L. The day‑to‑day responsibilities will be to efficiently manage the service and maintenance contract and operations throughout the patch ensuring client satisfaction is achieved. In order to succeed the target, set for the patch the Manager will oversee and manage a team of mobile engineers driving service quality standards and productivity of the engineers. The Manager must also ensure continuous improvements as well as maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure contract extensions and remedial works whilst keeping tabs on the profit and loss monitoring top and bottom‑line figures and cost control. It is expected that the successful candidate, will be a stable, committed, driven and commercially astute service manager / operations manager that has proven, demonstratable experience in HVAC technical mastery, management and leadership, client relationships and controlling P&L.

• Basic Salary £55,000 - £65,000 DOE
• Car allowance - £500pm
• Annual bonus targeted on net profit, service, compliance & engineer development

HVAC Operations Manager - Job Requirements
