Job summary

British Red Cross in Hove is seeking a Service Coordinator to lead a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring safe, efficient and compassionate care as people move from hospital to home. You will act as main contact for hospital and community referrals, coordinate delivery, monitor records and budgets, and support frontline delivery, with flexible hours including evenings and on-call duties.

Job description

Service Coordinator

Location: Hove, with travel around the East Sussex area

Salary: £25,541 to £27,200 Per Annum (£17,514 to £18,651 actual salary for 24 hrs worked)

Hours: 24 per week

Contract: Permanent

Additional Requirement: Applicants must have a full licence (2 years) and access to a vehicle.

As a Service Coordinator, you’ll be the vital link between hospital referrals and care at home. What will a day in the life of a Service Coordinator involve?
  • Acting as the main point of contact for hospital and community referrals.
  • Coordinating and supporting a team of staff and volunteers to deliver services.
  • Monitoring service delivery, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Attending hospital meetings, managing the service budget, and stepping in to support frontline delivery when needed.
To be a successful Service Coordinator, what will you need?
