British Red Cross is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist discharge from Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital. You will provide practical and emotional support to adults returning home, including welfare calls, shopping and home visits, and you will respond to referrals from clinicians to help people recover safely.
This 21-hour per week permanent role requires a full UK manual driving licence, weekend and bank holiday work, and a flexible, people‑centred approach.
Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital
Salary: £24,479 per annum, pro rata (£13.45 per hour)
Hours: 21 per week including weekends and Bank Holidays
Contract: Permanent
Driving: Full UK Manual Driving Licence required held for a minimum of 2 years
Please note: This is a 7 day 365 day service and you will be working weekends and Bank Holidays at both Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital
