Job summary

British Red Cross is seeking a Support Worker to assist patients being discharged from Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital. You’ll provide practical and emotional support, from welfare calls and shopping to home visits, helping service users regain independence after a hospital stay.

This permanent, part-time role is 21 hours per week, requires a full UK driving licence, and involves working weekends and Bank Holidays.

Job description

Support Worker -Assisted Discharge

Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital

Salary: £24,479 per annum, pro rata (£13.45 per hour)

Hours: 21 per week including weekends and Bank Holidays

Contract: Permanent

Driving: Full UK Manual Driving Licence required held for a minimum of 2 years

Please note: This is a 7 day 365 day service and you will be working weekends and Bank Holidays at both Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital

What will a day in the life of a Support Worker involve?
