Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Transport Service Coordinator in Dewsbury to manage day-to-day service delivery, allocate workloads to vehicles and routes, and keep customers updated on progress. You will engage with drivers, report issues, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance on site.

The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of transport compliance, the ability to handle a fast-paced workload, and IT proficiency with Google Workspace.

Qualifications

• Understanding of transport compliance and WTD.
• Strong communication with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Ability to organise a busy workload and work at pace.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO).
• IT proficiency and ability to adapt to Google operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery and dynamic allocation of work to vehicles/routes.
• Communicating with customers and stakeholders, providing status updates and driver contact.
• Completing debriefs with frontline staff and reporting actions as required.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers to address issues on route.
• Reporting safety concerns or container damage and stopping work if unsafe.
