Job summary

Veolia Group in Lincoln is recruiting for a depot/transport coordinator to oversee daily service delivery, route planning and driver management. You will ensure safety and compliance across operations, coordinate communication with customers and drivers, and support continuous improvement of depot KPIs.

Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of transport compliance, WTD, ISO systems, and be proficient with IT and Google Workspace.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of transport compliance and Working Time Directive (WTD).
  • Strong communication with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
  • Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace.
  • Experience with quality management systems (ISO).
  • Proficiency with IT and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environment remains a priority within the transport operation.
  • Manage daily service delivery including dynamic route planning and driver communication.
  • Assist the Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.
  • Control container stock levels and maintain driver/customer communication.
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks to drivers and operatives.
  • Conduct first stage investigations into accidents and incidents as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with Operator Licence obligations.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of drivers at the depot including performance and leave entitlements.
  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to deliver depot KPI’s.
  • Log safety concerns in Ecoonline and ensure timely closure.

Manage the service delivery on a daily basis, including the dynamic planning of work to vehicles / routes, proactively communicating with customers, maintaining contact with drivers throughout the day, and undertaking debriefs Ensure that Service excellence is delivered, this includes: Delivery of service. Recovery (next working day) and communication of non-service/missed lifts within company parameters Assist the Service Manager to identify routing efficiencies and capacity.
