Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Service Charge Analyst to ensure charges are accurate, transparent and compliant while supporting transformation of our service charge delivery. You will be based in one of our main offices with hybrid options to be discussed with your manager.

You will take ownership of calculating and issuing service charges, advise stakeholders, and contribute to improving processes and the overall resident experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in service charge analysis or management.
• Understanding of residential and commercial service charges and relevant legislation.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for residents.

Responsibilities

• Calculating, constructing and issuing estimated and actual service charges.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, contracts, policies and procedures.
• Managing complex service charge cases and supporting full cost recovery.
• Providing expert advice and responding to resident enquiries and complaints.
• Building strong relationships with budget holders, service managers and external stakeholders.
• Supporting new developments through accurate service charge calculations and advice.
• Preparing information and evidence for First Tier Tribunal hearings when required.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, communications and customer experience.
• Maintaining accurate service charge data and working collaboratively across teams.
