Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Service Charge Analyst to ensure service charges are accurate, transparent and compliant across Sittingbourne, Croydon or Farringdon with hybrid options. The role reports to the Service Charge Manager and supports ongoing service charge transformation.

You will calculate charges, advise residents, and collaborate with budget holders while upholding high standards of customer service and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of residential and commercial service charges and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Calculating, constructing and issuing estimated and actual service charges.
• Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, contracts, policies and procedures.
• Managing complex service charge cases and supporting full cost recovery.
• Providing expert advice and responding to resident enquiries and complaints.
• Building strong relationships with budget holders, service managers and external stakeholders.
• Supporting new developments through accurate service charge calculations and advice.
• Preparing information and evidence for First Tier Tribunal hearings when required.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, communications and customer experience.
• Maintaining accurate service charge data and working collaboratively across teams.
