Job summary

National Trust Quarry Bank Mill in Wilmslow is seeking a Service Assistant to support our busy visitor operations team on a permanent contract. The role offers 7 hours per week, typically on a Tuesday, with some weekend work and bank holidays on a rota.

You will greet visitors, help orientate them around the Mill and bookshop, assist with shelving and keep the site looking its best, while answering questions and providing excellent service.

What you'll be doing

The core part of your job is to give vital and positive support to your colleagues, wherever you're needed, with a focus on greeting and helping visitors.No two days will be the same. You can expect to meet many different people and gain experience in different visitor areas. You'll get involved in all kinds of tasks, including greeting visitors on arrival, restocking shelves in our bookshop, helping orientate visitors around the Mill and property, and helping to keep our site looking it's best.Most importantly, you'll be talking to visitors, answering their questions and making sure they can find everything they need to enjoy their day.
