Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd on behalf of our client, a well-established automotive dealership in St Helens, Merseyside, seeks a Service Advisor. The role offers a competitive basic salary of £32,000 with an uncapped OTE of approximately £38,000.

Working Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota, employees enjoy up to 34 days of annual leave including bank holidays, a bonus scheme, staff discounts and wellbeing support as part of a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Kerridge or similar dealership management software is preferable.
• Technical understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs, and warranty procedures is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Supportive and friendly team environment Duties of a Service Advisor:

• Greet customers professionally and serve as the primary contact for vehicle servicing and repairs
• Clearly explain service options, additional products, and upsell opportunities
• Accurately record customer vehicle details and requirements
• Manage appointment scheduling and provide vehicle updates to customers
• Prepare and process invoices, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently
• Liaise with workshop team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery
• Handle customer queries, resolving issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
• Promote service and accessory sales to maximise departmental performance
• Maintain a clean and professional reception area, upholding high standards of customer service

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry
