Job summary

A small independent automotive business in Chertsey is seeking an experienced Service Advisor. You will handle customer enquiries, prepare repair estimates, and coordinate workshop activity. A strong automotive background and good communication skills are essential.

Location is Chertsey with Monday to Friday hours. Salary up to £38,000 basic, with potential for progression in a family-friendly environment. Driving licence preferred but not essential; right to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Advisor or Aftersales Advisor preferred.
• Strong automotive technical knowledge essential.
• Confidence in preparing accurate service and repair estimates.
• Good understanding of parts and workshop processes.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a broad workload in a smaller team.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries and service/repair requirements.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates for customers daily.
• Explain repair requirements, costs and vehicle progress clearly.
• Source and order parts; complete related administration.
• Coordinate workshop activity and monitor work in progress.
• Support workshop control and allocate work as required.
• Complete service and estimating administration using the DGS system.

Service Advisor - Chertsey

We are recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor, Automotive Service Advisor or Aftersales Advisor to join a smaller independent automotive business in Chertsey. Applicants must have strong automotive technical knowledge, including the ability to prepare accurate repair estimates, alongside experience across customer service, Aftersales and workshop coordination. Main dealership and independent garage backgrounds will both be considered. A Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
