Job summary

Octane Recruitment is partnering with a leading main dealer group to recruit a Service Advisor in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The role offers Monday to Friday hours with 1 in 3 Saturdays, with a salary up to £34,000 plus uncapped bonus.

You will greet customers, book servicing, update customers, support workshop, upsell services, and maintain high standards of service. A full UK driving licence is required; weekend work is likely.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor in a car dealership, bodyshop, or independent garage.
• Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers when they arrive for scheduled and unscheduled servicing and repairs, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Book vehicles into the workshop, maintain regular updates to customers throughout the service process.
• Support the after-sales function by working closely with workshop controllers and assisting the Service Manager in the efficient running of a busy department.
• Manage customer expectations professionally, ensuring transparent communication and a high level of service at every touchpoint.
• Upsell additional products and services to both new and returning customers, contributing to departmental growth.
