Job summary

JDR Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Service Administrator for a South Blackpool-based, specialist B2B service and equipment provider. This temp-to-perm role covers day-to-day service administration, supporting engineers, and ensuring service jobs run smoothly from start to finish.

The position offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a comprehensive benefits package, a company pension and free on-site parking.

Qualifications

  • Organised with strong time-management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using CRM, service management or accounting systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Answer customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Schedule service visits, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Coordinate engineers' diaries, routes and appointments.
  • Raise and process service orders and work requests.
  • Prepare quotations for repairs, maintenance contracts and replacement equipment.
  • Create invoices and assist with payment processing.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, service histories and equipment databases.
  • Order spare parts and monitor stock and inventory levels.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding parts availability and deliveries.
  • Monitor maintenance contract renewals and contact customers ahead of expiry.
  • Log equipment faults and allocate service jobs promptly; follow up with customers.
  • Prepare service reports and other administrative documentation.
  • Maintain compliance records, service certificates and required documentation.
  • Manage filing systems and ensure records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support warranty claims and manufacturer documentation.
  • Coordinate equipment installations and de-installations with engineers and customers.

Service Administrator
South Blackpool | Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly specialised B2B service and equipment provider based in South Blackpool, who are experiencing continued growth and are looking to appoint an organised and proactive Service Administrator to join their team.

This is a temp-to-perm position, with the opportunity to become permanently employed following a successful probation period.

Working Hours

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

You will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day service administration, supporting engineers, communicating with customers and suppliers, and ensuring service jobs are managed efficiently from start to finish.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, dependable and confident dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a busy environment and have a strong eye for detail.

You will ideally have:
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using CRM, service management or accounting systems would be advantageous.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong teamwork and coordination skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
