We are looking for an experienced and skilled SEO professional to join our team and help shape a successful department within our leading UK agency. This role allows you to work remotely and only attend the office for a monthly team meetup, social events, and occasional client meeting trips.
The Role
The new SEO manager will be responsible for creating and implementing Search Engine Optimisation strategies for national and international clients, acting as both a consultant and a project manager for our clients' SEO activity.
- Dealing directly with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Showing an excellent level of knowledge in SEO as well as high levels of prioritising, organisation, communication, delegation, and business acumen.
- Managing your own portfolio of clients and optimising daily working practices of the SEO department.
- Providing in-depth analysis, creativity, problem-solving and implementation of the SEO strategy for clients.
- Undertaking audits for prospective clients and delegating and communicating actions with SEO staff.
- Delivering performance for the company and its existing clients.

The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a high level of competency in SEO strategy and implementation. Ideally from an agency background (not essential, will consider client-side depending on the level of experience).
You Must
- Display relevant SEO experience.
- Have at least 12 months of experience in a busy SEO role.
- Be professional and articulate.
- Be comfortable communicating to all levels of society and roles.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent English reading and writing skills.
- Have strong organisational skills.
- Be a confident decision-maker.
- Be highly analytical.
- Be competent with the Google Business Suite
- Understand basic customer service expectations and associated skills.
- Have Google Analytics (GA4) knowledge.
Advantageous To Have (but Not Essential)
- Digital PR experience.
- Technical SEO knowledge beyond the basics.
- Leadership or project management experience.
- Understanding of tracking and Google Tag Manager
- Knowledge of using third-party digital marketing software such as Moz, SEM Rush, AhRefs etc.
- Knowledge of other digital marketing specialisms such as PPC or CRO
The Package
This role is a full time remote 9 am to 5 pm, Mon-Fri (although we usually finish early on Fridays!) vacancy.
- Attend a 9:30 to 15:30 team meet-up in Sheffield once per month. (Usually Friday)
- 33 days holiday per year.
