Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd is recruiting a Workshop Controller for a busy service department near Leominster. You will lead a team of 8+ technicians, coordinate daily workshop activity and ensure customer requirements are understood and fulfilled while driving efficiency and KPI targets.

The role offers a starting salary around £34,000 with performance bonuses taking earnings to around £40,000 OTE. Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:15am–5:30pm with weekend overtime on a 1-in-4 basis, and enhanced

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive aftersales or workshop environments is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good communication with customers and service team.
• IT literacy and experience with dealership software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workshop operations and workflow.
• Coordinate with Service Manager to optimise processes.
• Ensure customer requirements are understood and communicated to the team.
• Monitor workshop KPIs and efficiency; drive performance.
• Distribute work based on skills and availability.
• Identify training needs and development opportunities.
