Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Blackpool is seeking a Workplace Design Standards Lead to drive technical property standards across the DWP estate. You will shape design guides and space planning, ensuring compliance with PAS3000 and the Government’s broader design strategy.

You\'ll oversee design consultants, manage furniture and equipment standards, and coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and the Integrator to deliver cost-effective, fit-for-purpose environments.

Qualifications

• Lead development of technical property standards for various building types.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of Design Guides and ensuring the products complement and support the Government's wider design strategy.
• Oversee design consultants and ensure team needs are supported and their experiences utilised.
• Owner of Furniture Fixtures and Equipment product design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of technical property standards for various building types across the portfolio ensuring, as a minimum, legal compliance but aspiring to the achievement of a ‘great place to work’ or engage with the DWP.
• Lead the preparation and implementation of Design Guides and ensuring the products complement and support the Governments wider design strategy.
• Oversee and assist design consultants directly delivering projects relating to the DWP’s requirements.
