Job summary

Government Recruitment Service in Blackpool is seeking a Workplace Design Standards Manager to lead the development and implementation of design standards across the DWP estate. You will ensure projects comply with the standard, drive sustainable workplace innovations and support cross-government collaboration.

The role involves advising on architectural design, coordinating with suppliers, and delivering continuous improvement through data-driven reviews and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in workplace design standards development and implementation.
• Ability to lead cross-functional design projects and teams.
• Knowledge of sustainability and Greening Government Commitments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Workplace Design Standards Lead in developing Design Guides and aligning with the gov design strategy.
• Inspire innovation by introducing sustainable design alternatives and contribute to Net Zero targets.
• Ensure estate projects meet the DWP brand, signage and wayfinding standards and are fit-for-purpose.
• Provide timely technical direction to external designers and supply chain consultants to meet standards and operational needs.
• Lead site reviews and post-occupancy evaluations to capture lessons and drive improvements.
