Job summary

Government Recruitment Service seeks a Workplace Design Standards Manager to lead the development and implementation of design guides for the DWP Estates. The role focuses on sustainable, compliant, and high-quality workplace environments across government properties in Birmingham and beyond.

You will partner with internal teams, suppliers and external designers to deliver best-in-class workspaces that support continuity, innovation and a culture of smart working. Full-time, permanent role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading workplace design projects from inception to delivery.
• Strong knowledge of design standards and sustainability practices.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Workplace Design Standards Lead in developing Design Guides.
• Ensure projects align with Government design strategy and branding.
• Drive innovative, sustainable workplace solutions and Net Zero targets.
• Review plans to ensure fit-for-purpose, standards compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Provide practical technical guidance to external designers and supply chain teams.
• Lead post-occupancy feedback sessions and continuous improvement.
