Job summary

ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation, is hiring a Workday HRIS Lead Specialist to drive strategy, implementation and optimization of HR tech to support our business and improve the employee experience. This role offers hybrid or remote work within the UK.

You will oversee HRIS operations, governance, and security, while leading a functional HRIS team across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation and Absence. Travel about 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems, HR, business administration or related field.
• Extensive experience in HR technology management, including Workday implementation and oversight.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to align tech with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Workday HRIS operations and governance across HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence and Integrations.
• Lead the functional HRIS team, guiding configuration changes and CR impact assessments.
• Coordinate SOW management, vendor liaison, and contract governance.
• Coordinate release management activities: impact assessment, gating, deployment, post-release stabilization.
• Conduct security/data reviews and maintain access governance; participate in weekly/quarterly governance forums.
