Job summary

WSP in the UK seeks a Water Quality and Catchment Management specialist to deliver sustainable solutions for the water sector and regulators. Background in earth sciences with water quality and geochemistry knowledge is essential.

You will analyse data, interpret time-series and spatial datasets, and help design field campaigns while producing technical reports and client presentations. Hybrid UK role with collaboration across global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in a relevant subject (e.g. geography, geology, geochemistry, earth/environmental science, civil engineering or similar).
• A higher degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. river or lake water quality, water chemistry, hydrogeochemistry, water management, environmental science, or similar), is desirable, but not essential.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to apply them to solving problems.
• Experience using MS Office tools and GIS packages (ArcGIS or QGIS).
• Ability to collaborate in a team and work independently.
• Clear written communication and ability to present ideas visually.

Responsibilities

• Water quality data analysis, conceptualisation and visualisation, and clear communication.
• Desk-based investigations / interpretation of datasets.
• Help design field monitoring campaigns, including traditional and non-traditional approaches.
• Delivery of technical reports and client presentations; and
• Winning new work and writing proposals for new projects.
• Project and task management.
• Being a key member of the water quality team in Sustainable Water Management.
