Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Water Quality and Catchment Management specialist to join our Sustainable Water Management team. You will contribute to delivering sustainable solutions for the water sector and regulators in the UK, drawing on your earth sciences background and hands-on water quality experience.

You will design field campaigns, analyse time series and spatial datasets, and communicate findings through reports and visuals.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualifications in geography, geology, geochemistry or earth/environmental science.
• Higher degree in a relevant discipline is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to solve problems.
• Experience with GIS and MS Office tools.
• Collaborate in a team and work independently with some direction.
• Clear written communication and ability to visualise ideas.

Responsibilities

• Water quality data analysis, conceptualisation and visualisation, and clear communication.
• Desk-based investigations and interpretation of datasets.
• Design field monitoring campaigns including traditional and non-traditional approaches.
• Deliver technical reports and presentations to clients; contribute to proposals.
• Project and task management; contribute to winning new work.
• Be a key member of the water quality team in Sustainable Water Management.
