Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking a Senior/Principal Process Engineer to join the Water Solutions team across London, Croydon, St Albans or Basingstoke.

You will lead design and deliver water and wastewater process solutions from concept to delivery, with flexible/hybrid working and occasional client-site travel.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, safety reviews and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve communities and environments.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.
Chartered status or can demonstrate learning and development on course to achieve chartered status.
Water industry experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions.
Produce and review process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications.
Provide technical leadership, solving complex engineering challenges and supporting project delivery.
Participate in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews.
Prepare key process safety documentation, including Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.
Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and industry best practice.
Work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
