Job summary

AECOM in London, St Albans, Croydon or Basingstoke is hiring a Senior/Principal Process Engineer to join the Water Solutions team. You will lead water and wastewater process solutions from concept to delivery, across Southern UK frameworks, with flexible/hybrid working and occasional site travel.

The role requires a degree in chemical engineering (or related) and chartered status or progress toward it, plus water industry experience.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.
Chartered status or pursuing chartered status.
Water Industry Experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions.
Produce and review process engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, specs).
Provide technical leadership and solve complex engineering challenges for project delivery.
Participate in HAZOP/HAZID and process safety reviews.
Prepare process safety documentation (Hazardous Area Classification, LoPA).
Ensure designs comply with regulations and industry standards.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes.
