AECOM is recruiting a Senior/Principal Process Engineer for our Water Solutions team in London, with flexible hybrid working across UK locations such as Croydon or Basingstoke. You will lead water and wastewater process design from concept through to delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.
• Chartered status or progression toward chartered engineering.
• Experience in water industry or water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions.
• Produce and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership, solving complex engineering challenges and supporting project delivery.
• Contribute to HAZOP/HAZID and other process safety reviews.
• Prepare process safety documentation including Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations, standards and best practice.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
