Job summary

AECOM Infrastructure and Environment UK Limited is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our Water Team, with flexible hybrid working across the North and Midlands including Birmingham, Chesterfield, Leeds and Manchester.

You will lead the design of process elements for wastewater and water projects, conduct hydraulic analyses, and mentor junior staff, while coordinating with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive design experience in managing the technical delivery of large-scale water engineering projects.
• BEng or MEng in a related engineering field; Chartered status.
• Proven experience in team leadership, mentoring and line management.
• Strong collaboration and coordination with teams, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of process elements in wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
• Perform hydraulic assessments and calculations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and suppliers.
• Lead bids and proposals and interface with clients to understand needs.
• Ensure delivery of quality designs within budgets and timelines.
