Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior/Principal Process Engineer to join our Water Solutions team in London, St Albans, Croydon or Basingstoke. You will lead the design and delivery of water and wastewater process solutions for Southern Water’s £4.8bn programme, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.

You'll produce PFDs and P&IDs, mass balances and technical specifications while providing technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.
• Chartered (or near chartered) status or in-progress.
• Water industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of water and wastewater process solutions.
• Produce and review PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances and technical specs.
• Provide technical leadership and support project delivery.
• Participate in HAZOP/HAZID and other process safety reviews.
• Prepare Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and best practice across designs.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
