Job summary

Hippo is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead user-centred design efforts across client programmes. You will partner with cross-functional teams, run workshops, and advocate for human-centred approaches. You will shape end-to-end service journeys, map ecosystems, and translate insights into actionable design decisions.

You will mentor colleagues, influence client outcomes, and help grow Hippo’s design culture. The role involves travel to client sites and Hippo offices across the UK.

Qualifications

• We expect deep expertise in user-centred design with strong knowledge of related areas.
• Ability to lead teams and work with clients through workshops and workshops.
• Experience shaping design strategy and driving end-to-end service journeys.

Responsibilities

• Propose ideas that solve problems creatively and shape them into user-centred solutions.
• Design end-to-end user journeys and create optimal user experiences.
• Use insights from research and metrics to identify pain points and improve design.
• Explore multiple approaches to ensure product flows logically from start to finish.
• Produce user journeys, sitemaps, navigation schemas, and annotated wireframes.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback.
• Engage with agile, multidisciplinary teams with user-centred processes.
• Lead workshops with stakeholders to align on visions.
• Share best practices within the Hippo design community.
