Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to advance our utility surveying capability. You will lead PAS128 utility surveys, operate survey instruments, and post-process outputs. You will mentor staff, support business development, and help shape processes for future growth.

The role requires strong PAS128 knowledge, client-focused communication, and willingness to travel to projects nationwide from Kilsyth, Godstone, Nailsea or Warrington offices.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering utility surveys, preferably in a senior/leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of PAS 128 and TSA essentials.
• Proficient use of surveying technologies incl. GPR and location systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish with high standards.
• Provide specialist technical support to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (GPR, GPS, total stations).
• Record underground assets and manhole inspection data accurately.
• Deliver reports to Project Managers and CAD Operators per industry standards.
• Build and maintain client relationships for successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support their development.
• Conduct onsite quality checks and ensure smooth handover to deliverables.
• Maintain survey equipment functionality and safety practices.
