Job summary

Applications are invited for a Band 6 Treatment Planning Clinical Technologist post in Radiotherapy Physics at Leeds Cancer Centre, based at St James’s University Hospital.

The post sits within the Treatment Planning and Mould Room service and will contribute to planning routine and highly complex radiotherapy treatments, routine dosimetry and quality control, and the safe delivery of radiotherapy services.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Technology or related discipline and training in radiotherapy treatment planning.
• Registered Clinical Technologist or Registered Therapy Radiographer or clear path to Clinical Technologist registration.
• Knowledge of 3D treatment planning systems and CT simulator output.

Responsibilities

• Plan routine and highly complex radiotherapy treatments including dosimetry and quality control.
• Support advanced radiotherapy techniques and clinical trials.
• Contribute to service development and innovation within the radiotherapy centre.
