Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHSFT in Liverpool is seeking a Radiotherapy Physics Technologist to support radiotherapy treatment planning and in‑vivo measurements. The role requires accurate handling of treatment systems and collaboration with radiographers, physicists, and technologists to ensure optimal patient care.

The post is Band 6, fixed term for 12 months, and sponsorship may be possible under Skilled Worker routes.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in scientific subject.
• Registration as a Clinical Technologist with an accredited register (Eg. RCT, HCPC)

Responsibilities

• Create radiotherapy treatment plans using Eclipse.
• Maintain efficiency of radiotherapy equipment for patient treatment.
• Provide care to patients in the form of performing in‑vivo measurements.
• Keep records up to date for all aspects of the job in accordance with the quality system.
• Report faults to senior staff.
• Plan radiotherapy treatments within the Pre‑Treatment Department.
• Co‑ordinate a TBI treatment from initial scan to treatment.
• Manage own workload and assist the team leader.
