Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking a Clinical Technologist to plan radiotherapy treatments using Eclipse and to perform in-vivo measurements during patient care. • Educated to degree level in scientific subject.
• Registration as HCPC Clinical Technologist.
• Graduate of NHS Practitioner Training Programme (PTP) in Radiotherapy Physics.
• Physics or Engineering degree.

Responsibilities

• To create radiotherapy treatment plans using Eclipse.
• Liaises with Radiographers, Physicists and other Technologists to ensure best use of the time available.
• Perform routine QA checks on all treatment machines.
• Perform routine in-vivo measurements on patients during treatment.
• To plan radiotherapy treatments within the Pre-Treatment Department.
• Manage own workload and assist the team leader to manage the workload of the assigned work area.
