Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate Director to join our Transport and Mobility Team, based in the UK with hybrid working across offices including Manchester. You will lead transport planning and traffic engineering for nationally significant infrastructure projects across England, Scotland and Wales, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will collaborate with stakeholders from planning authorities to the DfT, drive growth strategies, and promote a safe, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering transport assessments for major projects.
• Ability to lead large multi-disciplinary teams in hybrid/virtual settings.
• Strong stakeholders engagement with planning authorities and DfT.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical management and commercial responsibility for transport work on major infrastructure programmes and lead coordination of new proposals.
• Contribute to the development of medium/long term growth strategies and trend forecasts to inform future business investment and direction.
• Lead cross discipline collaboration by example and improve opportunities for intra-business connectivity across the UK and beyond.
• Take personal responsibility for wellbeing, health and safety and act as a role model for direct reports and project staff.
• Keep up to date with relevant standards and policies.
• Raise WSP profile by networking, social media and attending conferences as required.
