Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join our North East team in the Newcastle/Gateshead area. You will lead development planning projects, deliver TA/TS/Travel Plans, and mentor junior staff while managing client relationships and project delivery.

We offer a challenging workload across residential, commercial, education and infrastructure projects, with a strong pipeline and opportunities for progression within a collaborative, hybrid-working environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in development planning within a transport planning consultancy.
• Experience preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Strong understanding of the UK planning system and development processes.
• Experience liaising with clients, developers and Local Highway Authorities.
• Proven report-writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with TRICS, TEMPro, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig and Junctions software.

Responsabilités

• Leading and delivering development planning projects from feasibility through to planning approval.
• Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Undertaking access appraisals, junction capacity assessments and transport modelling.
• Providing strategic transport advice to developers, clients and project teams.
• Liaising with Local Highway Authorities, planning authorities and wider stakeholders.
• Managing project programmes, technical deliverables and client relationships.
• Mentoring junior team members.
• Contributing to bids, business development and new client relationships.
• Helping drive project delivery and growth of the North East team.
