Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Birmingham is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to lead transport planning projects across a varied portfolio and to develop client relationships. The role offers ownership of development and infrastructure work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans, model junctions, liaise with local authorities, manage project programmes and mentor junior staff while contributing to business

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning within a consultancy is essential
• Proven ability to deliver Transport Assessments, Statements and technical reports
• Strong understanding of UK planning and development processes

Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Leading transport planning projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery
• Undertaking junction capacity assessments and traffic modelling
• Providing technical advice to clients and project teams
• Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and other consultants
• Managing project programmes, workloads and technical deliverables
• Reviewing technical work and ensuring a high standard of output
• Supporting and mentoring junior and intermediate team members
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the transport planning team
• Supporting bids, fee proposals and new project opportunities where appropriate
