Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Principal or Senior Transport Planner to join the Transport North team. You will deliver Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and EIA inputs for private and public sector schemes, while mentoring junior staff and helping win work.

Based in Newcastle or Leeds with hybrid working, you will engage developers, authorities and multidisciplinary teams to shape planning outcomes and deliver sustainable transport solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or related field.
• Working towards or holding professional accreditation (CIHT, CILT, TPP or ICE) desirable.
• UK consultancy experience in transport planning is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the preparation of Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
• Contribute to EIA inputs for development projects.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support team development.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.
• Assist in business development through fee proposals and bid activities.
