Workchain is recruiting for a Senior Transport Service Coordinator in Avonmouth, Bristol. The role focuses on coordinating transport workloads, driver management, and ensuring compliance, with a day-to-day focus on service delivery.

You will work closely with drivers and customers, manage routes, and drive improvements in performance and safety culture while benefiting from a comprehensive package and annual bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication across levels.
• Proven ability to manage a busy workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and WTD.
• Supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Experience in transport, logistics, or waste management.
• Proficiency with IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily delivery of transport services and allocate work across vehicles and routes.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Monitor operational performance and provide service updates where required.
• Conduct driver debriefs and ensure all operational issues are recorded and addressed.
• Provide direct support and guidance to drivers throughout their shifts.
• Escalate safety concerns and support a strong health and safety culture.
• Assist with transport compliance activities, including Working Time Directive (WTD) and operator licence requirements.
• Support operational management in delivering efficient and compliant transport services.
• Act as a direct line manager for drivers and service coordination staff.
