Job summary

Veolia in Manchester is seeking a Senior Transport Service Coordinator to manage day-to-day service delivery, coordinate routes and liaise with drivers and customers. The role includes ensuring safety, reporting issues, and supporting transport compliance on-site.

The position offers a £33,000 annual salary plus a performance bonus, 40-hour weeks with occasional Saturdays, and a range of Veolia benefits including pension and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with drivers, frontline staff and customers.
• Able to organise a busy workload and work at fast pace; UK driving licence required.
• Desirable: knowledge of transport compliance, IT skills, and Google operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of service delivery and routing allocations.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders and provide status updates.
• Manage completion of debriefs with front-line staff and report actions.
• Face-to-face engagement with drivers to address route issues.
• Report safety concerns or container damage and stop the job when unsafe.
• Support Operations Manager with transport compliance on-site (WTD, O'Licence).
• Direct reporting line for all drivers and Service Coordinators.
