Job summary
AJ Bell is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to fortify the quality of customer experiences across UI, API and back-office systems. You will lead testing efforts with an automation-first mindset, coach other testers, and work across integrations to ensure resilient, scalable software in a fast-paced financial services environment.
You'll collaborate with Technical Leads and developers to balance automation with manual testing, contribute to test tooling and frameworks, and support releases
Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Tester and delegating work within a team.
- Full understanding of the testing lifecycle and methodologies.
- Create automated test scripts using BDD.
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks.
- Exploratory testing in Agile environments.
- Develop tools and extend test frameworks and environments.
- Proven API testing experience with integration tools.
Responsibilities
- Carry out testing across UI, API, back-office workflow processes, third-party systems and end-to-end testing.
- Interpret business, functional and technical requirements.
- Understand AJ Bell products and regulatory needs.
- Influence solution design with testing expertise.
- Execute scripts and record results in JIRA and Xray.
- Raise defects with clear details for resolution.
- Support UAT and Production releases.
- Apply Agile practices throughout delivery.
