Job summary

AJ Bell in Salford seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer to ensure robust test coverage across UI, API and workflows, including end-to-end testing and third-party integrations. You will contribute to testing strategies, deliver resilient software, and work with testers and Developers in an agile environment.

You will mentor teammates, drive automation, interpret requirements, and be involved in exciting new research projects while supporting UAT and production releases.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Tester or lead and ability to delegate work within a team.
• Solid understanding of the testing lifecycle and methodologies.
• Create and design automated test scripts using BDD.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks.
• Carry out exploratory testing within an Agile environment.
• Develop test tools and extend test frameworks/environments.
• Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools.

Responsibilities

• Coaching/developing testers, reviewing their work and delegating tasks.
• Carry out testing across UI, API, back office workflows and integrations.
• Understand and interpret business, functional and technical requirements.
• Input into how solutions are developed and delivered for customers.
• Execute test scripts and record results with JIRA/XRAY.
• Raise bugs with sufficient detail for reproduction.
• Collaborate on test automation strategy across projects.
• Support UAT and release to Production.
