Job summary

Bullfinch Recruitment is seeking experienced Test Automation Engineers to join a private banking technology team. You will develop and maintain automated testing capabilities, embed quality across the SDLC, and support strategic transformation initiatives.

Collaborate with Software Engineers, Architects, BAs, and Product Owners to define effective test strategies. You will also contribute to CI/CD pipelines and ensure environments and data are ready for automated tests across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Test Automation Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Software Test Engineer.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and quality engineering best practices.
• Experience with modern automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress or SpecFlow and API testing.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into delivery processes.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and modern software architectures."Desirable: Azure and banking/regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites across multiple applications.
• Embed quality engineering throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define, create, and execute automated test cases including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot defects with developers to enable timely resolution.
• Support testing standards, methodologies, and best practices improvements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing into deployment processes.
• Maintain test data, environments, and automation assets.
• Monitor test results and quality metrics to inform delivery decisions.
• Collaborate with BAs, Product Owners, and stakeholders on test strategies.
• Support non-functional testing such as performance and reliability where appropriate.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous automation across Technology.
