Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to ensure customer-facing applications perform reliably. You will test UI, API and back-office processes, drive automation and support testing across integrations with third parties.

You will coach peers, balance automation with manual testing and contribute to a culture of quality. You will work in a hybrid setup in the UK, collaborating with Technical Leads and development teams to deliver resilient software and robust testing practices that

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Tester and delegating work within a team
• Full understanding of the testing lifecycle and methodologies
• Create automated test scripts using the BDD methodology
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks
• Carry out exploratory testing within an Agile environment
• Develop tools and extend test environments
• Proven experience testing APIs using integration tools

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing across UI, API, back-office processes and integrations
• Understand and interpret requirements
• Influence solution development with testing expertise
• Execute test scripts and document results in tools
• Raise defects with clear detail and evidence
• Support User Acceptance Testing and production releases
• Balance automation and manual testing for coverage
• Develop test tools and extend test frameworks
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify risks
