Job summary

Cloudsmith is seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer to empower customers and shape Cloudsmith's artifact management platform. You will mentor a growing team, troubleshoot complex issues, and expand third-party integrations to enhance the developer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years in Technical Product Support, a similar role, or a background in software development.
• Strong application programming experience, proficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript languages.
• Knowledge of software packaging and distribution concepts and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• An enthusiastic and effective communicator: you should be able to appeal to and communicate with both technical and non-technical listeners alike.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota supporting customers across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch technical support to customers, assisting with product-related issues and inquiries.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, reproduce in local environments, identify root causes and provide solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation, knowledge base articles, and FAQs for customer self-resolution.
• Leverage expertise in application programming to build and maintain third-party integrations (Terraform, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
• Act as a customer advocate, sharing feedback and feature requests with the product team.
