Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Head of Technical to lead the technical direction across the national Thales account. This senior role requires credibility to influence operations, manage critical assets, and drive lifecycle investment while balancing day-to-day operational realities.

You will shape risk and compliance frameworks, oversee maintenance and safety standards, and partner with leaders to convert strategy into action across the UK estate.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering, building services or technical qualification would be valuable.
• Professional registration or equivalent practical experience valued.
• Knowledge of CAFM systems and asset registers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority across the account.
• Set the technical strategy, priorities and improvement roadmap.
• Maintain oversight of critical assets, compliance, lifecycle and technical risk.
• Lead technical recovery plans to protect continuity of service.
• Provide governance around suppliers, competence and technical standards.
• Turn technical strategy into action with operational leadership.
• Advise senior stakeholders on risk, priorities and investment.
