Job summary

Mitie in the UK seeks a Head of Technical to lead the technical direction across its national Thales account. You will be the senior technical authority shaping how we manage assets, risk, compliance and lifecycle investment across a complex UK estate, while partnering with site teams and senior customer stakeholders to keep services safe, resilient and effective.

Qualifications

• Technical credibility to operate at senior level in a complex estate.
• Experience in facilities management, building services or engineering.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and engage with multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical authority across the account.
• Set the technical strategy, priorities and improvement roadmap.
• Maintain oversight of critical assets, compliance, lifecycle and risk.
• Lead technical recovery plans when assets fail or continuity is at risk.
• Oversee maintenance, certification, audit readiness and safe systems of work.
• Identify asset investment and replacement priorities.
• Build robust business cases for investment.
• Use data and root-cause analysis to reduce failures.
• Govern supplier competence and technical standards.
• Turn technical strategy into action with operational leadership.
